"The words I would use to describe my experience with Tova Health include: wonderful, caring, supportive, community-building."

" Receiving care for my baby and myself through Tova Health was like a haven for the fourth trimester. The whole process was easy - signing up, getting care in our home, having plenty of time for questions, having one place for concerns about my or the baby’s health, and being able to access Dr Z easily when something came up. And the transition to our family practice at the end was also no stress (except being sad that our time with Tova Health was done!). Dr Z and the team at Tova Health were all warm and caring. Exactly what a practice should be!"

"This concept of in home care during the new wonderful yet tiring and often overwhelming time in mother and newborn’s lives, is such a gift. There is a void in the US for mothers postpartum and providing moms the opportunity to stay home after delivering a baby is such an immense help. If I had had this care after a csection with my first baby, and especially the care from Dr. Eva - who offers such a warm heart, relatable and caring personality - my experience would have been vastly different. Most other countries in the world have such a support system; why don’t we? Moms can better care for their babies when they are cared for too."

“ I feel incredibly lucky to have found Tova Health when my baby was born. As a first-time mom, was such a gift to have Dr. Zasloff come to me in my home."

"It is hard to express what a positive difference tova health makes. I had tova with both of my babies and Dr. Z is an incredible pediatrician and doctor. it's really above and beyond any experience I've had in healthcare situations. I wish that her practice was universal. People who just gave birth should not have to leave their house to get to a pediatrician! And having such a caring and knowledgeable doctor makes a huge difference in this vulnerable time."

“I can’t say enough wonderful things about Tova Health. From my first connection with Meg, I knew this was a special opportunity and unique community I wanted to welcome my child into the world in. I hope all expecting parents are able to take advantage of this wonderful practice.."

HOME VISITS
-
"The newborn phase is so challenging for a number of reasons. It was wonderful to have home visits that gave me one less thing to figure out in the early days."
A.S., Waltham, MA

"Home visits were a huge part of why I selected Tova Health. I had used our family practice from day 1 for our first two children, and all I could remember from those experiences was the hassle and stress of getting there with a newborn, carrying the heavy car seat, etc. Having Dr. Z come to our house made the care so easy, especially because I had my two older kids home with me. It’s challenging enough with just a newborn. It really felt like a wellness visit because it didn’t take so much out of me just to get there. Dr Z is calming, easy-going, very discrete and gentle. Her presence warmed our home. Unlike the newborn office visits, I still remember Dr Z’s visits very fondly."

"Home visits (instead of office visits) were a primary reason I found the Tova Health approach so appealing - and in practice, I was not disappointed! During the fourth trimester, as a mom of a toddler and a newborn, it was so supportive and comforting to have someone come care for me and my baby in our home. Wish I had had this option with my first child!"

“The first months after birth is such a wild time. Learning how to mother, getting very little sleep, and with my own body changing and healing, I had no desire to go out. Not to mention, bringing a tiny infant out into the winter chill was a scary prospect. I was delighted to have Dr. Zasloff’s home visits."
H.S., Medford, MA

“Home visits - there really shouldn’t be any other way. Traveling to the doctor while your body is only beginning to heal is a cruelty for so many women."
C.M., Arlington, MA

"My daughter was born a month early and we had challenges with feeding, nursing and her gaining weight. Instead of traveling to our pediatrician multiple times a week Dr. Z came to us, provided us with a scale to do weighted feeds, and communicated with us everyday until she had stabilized. This scenario could have been extremely stressful for a new parents, but handling it from the comfort of our own home was something we didn’t truly appreciate until months later. What a healing experience to be able to handle something challenging about your baby in your own safe space."

INTEGRATED NEWBORN & MATERNAL CARE TOGETHER
-
"Integrated care of baby and mom just makes sense! I don’t understand why it would be any other way. It felt very natural, helpful and confidence building. It was such a contrast to my previous experience with my older two kids which was fractured care. With Tova Health, I felt that my baby and I were really cared for."
M.C., Arlington, MA
-
"This is what the model should be! I feel truly lucky that I was able to access this kind of care."
G.A., Somerville, MA
-
“Integrated pediatric and maternal fourth trimester care respects and honors the mother baby dyad. The idea that these two creatures should be separated in their care creates an odd disconnect in what should be a combined journey.."
C.M., Arlington, MA
-
"Dr. Z is an example of what medical care could and should be like. Her medical knowledge paired with her deep care for her work made me feel like I was visiting with a medicine woman from a bygone era. I will remain forever grateful for Dr. Z’s care during my transition to motherhood following a traumatic birth. My wish is that all birthing people could experience her care.."
J.G., Watertown, MA
-
“Loved this so much! Post birth it’s so baby, baby, baby focused, which is a hard transition from it being so mother focused BEFORE delivery. Dr. Z integrates both you and baby so you feel seen, heard, and taken care of, not just your baby. The time and attention is validating."
C.Z., Burlington, MA

“Dr. Zasloff cares about mom and baby and it shows. Her visits weren’t about *just* the baby, and in my state of new motherhood, being truly cared about made a huge difference. I am truly grateful to Dr. Zasloff.."
H.S., Watertown, MA

"Amazing. After experiencing it firsthand, I can't fathom why this is not a normal thing!!! Our bodies don't stop dealing with birth just because the baby comes out. I'm so grateful that Dr. Z made this part of her practice."

CARE WITH DR. ZASLOFF
-
“Dr. Z was absolutely incredible. She was the calm, confident, knowledgeable force that I needed after a prior traumatic birth and newborn experience. She helped create a healing experience for my third birthing journey.."
C.M., Arlington, MA
-
“Dr. Z was beacon of light during the exciting and challenging postpartum period. I noticed how she would ask how I was doing first before checking in about my baby. In those early days I would reply answering about the baby and she’d remind me that we’d get to him, but first me. It was a valuable lesson on the importance of taking care of myself. This is one example of many important lessons I learned from Dr. Z’s care."
J.G., Watertown, MA

“Our experience with Dr. Zasloff exceeded all of our expectations and desires for my fourth trimester. Being under her care, warmth and knowledge is what every new mother (and birth partner) needs to enter into this new phase of their lives. She is kind, realistic, funny and trustworthy. I truly could go on and on."
C.Z., Burlington, MA
-
"Dr Zasloff was exceptionally helpful and supportive with pediatric and material care. She responded promptly to questions and the home visits helped ease us as new parents into the intensive care for our newborn twins. This traditional model of home visits feels vital for new parents and for mothers who are recovering from the intensity of birth and delivery."

"Dr. Z was amazing and I loved having her as part of my care team in those crazy postpartum weeks."

"Thanks, Dr Z and team for creating this amazing practice. It’s such a gift to the patients, but also to healthcare and to the world that a practice like this exists. It’s possible to break out of the status quo and to bring something good into the world. Really inspiring."
M.C., Arlington, MA
-
"t's hard to express the gratitude I have for Dr. Z and the whole tova health team. It is everything that healthcare should be -- compassionate, practical, and supportive. Dr. Z just 'gets it' when it comes to what parents and babies need in this vulnerable, challenging, and potentially beautiful time. Her practice makes it so this time can be a little more beautiful and awe-inspiring, and a little less exhausting, and anxiety-inducing."
A.T., Watertown, MA
VIRTUAL GROUP VISITS
-
"I joined these starting the first week of my daughter's life, and they are perhaps the best part of the Tova Health experience. Through these groups I made new friends (two years later, we still get together and keep in touch!), and during that fourth trimester in particular, built an extremely valuable community I just wouldn't have had the opportunity to form otherwise. I learned so much at our group discussions."
G.A., Somerville, MA
-
"SO helpful. Not only is it so nice to have a group of people going through a very similar experience but the advice is priceless. I have passed this advice on to so many friends who are going through similar experiences without this knowledge."
A.T., Watertown, MA
-
“They were lovely. It was nice to hear from other mommas on their respective journeys and have a place to share even as I’d been through it a few times."
C.M., Arlington
-
“Having had a baby during the early pandemic days, I was so grateful for the community Dr. Z built. Years later, I’m still in touch with some of the mothers I met in her group."
J.G., Watertown, MA

“The virtual fourth trimester group that I attended was during the height of Covid. I felt so alone and so scared. The weekly meetings we had were so incredibly important to me. I also made friends through it that I’m still in touch with years later. I’m so grateful for this community and the support I received."

“I really looked forward to these each week. Sharing perspectives, stories and asking questions of new moms while being in the presence of a physician was an interesting and incredibly helpful angle. Dr. Z is an excellent facilitator and let’s conversation flow, only interjecting when appropriate, so it feels like a group of girlfriends connecting over coffee and babies."
